By the way, Toon Link feels a lot like his Brawl self. He hasn't got any very significant changes as far as I observed.

You might be thinking of me. I shared a very similar theory on a few occasions, concerning the inverse-distribution of stages (one system gets a New Stage, ergo the other gets a Classic Stage).

So far, the theory holds true in every respect save Fire Emblem, which gets one New stage on the 3DS, yet a New + Classic on the Wii U. This therefore put this theory of mine in a bit of a jeopardy.

I had also mused that both systems would get the same number of stages. So since the 3DS got 34, the Wii U would get 34. But Coliseum + Castle Siege throws a potential wrench in this idea as well.

So this theory isn't as steadfast as it once seemed. >_>

I dunno, the old voice just really gave me the wrong mental image, I always pictured Mark Henry instead of anything actually relevant. New voice sounds to me like it moreso belongs to something that isn't a human.

I wonder how you get Master Core to appear. I've done 3 Classic runs so far in at least 5.0 intensity and fought it once.

My guess is that you need to defeat Master Hand very quickly, judging on what I've seen so far.

I think he appears at 6.5 or 7.0 onward.
7.0 = VS. Swords
8.0 = VS. Dog + Swords
9.0 = VS. Tabuu + Dog + Swords

I don't wanna bother anyone but i have to give it a shot (if the following post is deemed "spammy" i'll delete it right away).

disclaimer: I don't know if this post fits here, but it looked like the most appropriate thread. I asked on the question thread were to open a topic 8 hours ago and i'm still waiting for an answer. So again, sorry if i'm in the wrong place.

So, Nintendo Italy has started supporting the Italian Smash community by giving us some space at their events to host competitive tournaments and by lending us official 3DS capture cards that don't require a modded 3ds. 2 days ago, out of nowhere and without any warning they contacted the most important Italian gaming journalists and...well us! They explained that they were gonna start a twitter contest to see who presented the largest Smash following and added that "the winner of the contest would get an important call" (no other information was disclosed in the e-mail).

We though we didn't stand a chance against IGN Italy and others but we're currently first, just by a couple of tweets though.

Needless to say this will be a close call...unless you guys can help...

I DON'T know if the "important phone call" will actually be anything important at all , but i'm not willing to take the chance. Even if it turns out to be something gimmicky and stupid we'll at least be able to say we didn't risk it.

The only reason i'm asking for help on SB is cause some of you know how small and irrelevant the Italian community has been in the last few years. i've worked my ass off along side a few others for two years to get were we are today (even if it's not much, we currently have 8/10 smash4 tournaments planned around Italy for the month), and i feel like it would be a pity to loose such an opportunity to "shine" in Nintendo's eyes! If they officially recognize us as the number one smash community people are gonna get interested and curious, maybe a new era will rise for the Italian players, finally at the competitive level of our cousins (France, Germany and so on)!

Maybe i'm just getting over my head, and maybe; all of this will never happen...maybe.

I've had him appear on 5.0+, and it's always at least dog and sword

Good timing, for I just cleared Classic with Link.

Challenger approaching: Ganondorf.

Defeated Master Core with him without losing this time. Link is quite good in this game.

EDIT: Unlocked the Great King!! He feels so good to play as now! He's a beast!

Would you say it's a better balance of easy/fun/satisfying/faster to unlock characters via Classic or VS Mode?
