This Friday will be fun with Palutena hype, and I get to be reunited with my Gold Pit once again. I'm gonna be happy if I can impress players with some new potential skills of mine.

I swear, I must be the only guy around who has consistently talked to deadpan girls who either hardly show any sort of emotions online intentionally, simply troll and play around with others perceptions or don't use faces all that often for the past decade and a half. I tend to always end up getting close to those types. And the types who end up sounding more girly and adorable than they want to appear.

I'm sure there's people that still miss the ICs... and many other characters.

It's only natural to miss a character that's your main or that you generally like/care about. I can't speak for everyone, but I know some people have put A LOT of time into learning the ins and outs of their fave characters. And perhaps they've even gone to tourneys utilizing the skills that they've learned with such characters. They've had tears of joy or tears of sadness with them. Because of this, sometimes there's an emotional investment (they may even like the characters from their source games too), and perhaps such people would have liked to see their fave characters in the next Smash installment -- to see the changes the characters have gotten and to potentially keep on playing as them.

On the other hand, some people may not give a crap, but it doesn't hurt to show empathy for those who do. I'm not saying give people pity, but if you put yourself in their shoes, you will find the answers to some of your own questions.

Now, I don't put a strong emotional investment into video games, but I am genuinely disappointed to see characters that I loved gone. Is that a crime to express such sadness? Well, as long as people are civilized and not annoying about it, I don't think so. That being said, it's really not the end of the world and I believe you should move on. But hey, if you say things like, "Yeah, I'm sad to see X character gone. I really liked playing as him and love to see how Sakurai would've handled him" now and then, or joke about it, I won't complain. cuz I sometimes do it

In the case if the ICs, they do have a unique gimmick and are quite iconic in Smash because of this (also has 2-timed vet status). ICs are popular within the Smash series and kinda proves that you don't need to be a big Nintendo All-Star to get in (and there's a lot more examples too). Because of their uniqueness (I don't think the ICs are prefect though, and they needed some tweaking/balancing), they have left a pretty big impact on the Smash series for me. While I don't usually play as them, yeah, I'll be disappointed if they never return. I'll miss their personality too... such cheerful and cute characters. Same thing with Snake. He had such an awesome moveset and character that he brought. RIP.

Just my thoughts on the matter (tots fine if you disagree), as we'll probably see people still be disappointed with whatever things, even when time has past.

Also, don't know if this has been brought up before, but has anyone else noticed Marth frowns then subtly smiles in one of his victory animations?



I was like, "d'aww" when I first saw this. Marth's SO adorable in this game... I may just end up maining him helps that I'm currently playing Shadow Dragon too. I'm starting to like Marth and I never really did. Curses!
