Wait, DLC plans? Like the premium one that's currently "not in the cards"?
Yup.
Yeah I guess. I'm sort of happy to hear we won't get a ton. It'll save me the money and SD card space.
DLC hasn't had the best rep, thanks to guys like Capcom or EA. On top of that, too much would be costly. And the less of it, the less speculation until the next game.
So let two companies decide everything?
No. But their example can lead to a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Hence why some might be hesitant to the idea.
Yeah, that could end DLC speculation much more faster.

As suspected, the Battle Frontier does not return in these games, instead you get the Battle Maison city with the Friend Safari and the like all brought over to it (along with the addition of an extra day care). In addition, they went farther then that and we got this:
They put miniature models of the Battle Facilities in the area for you to see and even alluded to them being built in the future.
Talk about a tease.

I'm thinking it's more along the lines of Cynthia alluding to the PWT in BW. It's implied, but they won't touch it until the next game.

They're not planning anything right now, doesn't mean they won't in the future. Anyway, Sakurai and his crew have had to work hard on two games and
, I think it's reasonable to give them a long break. I don't expect any new DLC until late 2015 honestly, but I'm fine as is. The roster is nice and Mewtwo is back, so what's not to love?
Keep in mind that Nintendo also said that there would be no MK8 DLC either, and look where that landed us. They also only said that they're not planning anything right now, not outright that "THERE WILL BE NO DLC EVER"
