It's been done. Don't forget the far worse Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis. It was a true disaster. At least 06 was highly complete and the engine worked a good chunk of the time.That said, Sega didn't create this game. Red Button did.

Either way, bad or not, it's not the end of Sonic, there are other concerns to worry about than that.

No review copies known, but people say they find it very complete, just kind of dull. Like Amy's voice acting in the Wii U version.

Can't help you with that, I'm not planning to get any of them. I'm don't that big on Sonic games so I will wait for a review of the game before I waste money on any version of the game.

Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic Eraser, Sonic Schoolhouse (if that counts), Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic Free Riders, and Sonic R were worse.
In fact I think Sonic 06 may barely miss out (or at least be low) for my personal worst Sonic games list.

I agree completely about Secret Rings. The controls were horrible, so I traded my copy to Gamestop for Metroid Prime Trilogy. BEST IDEA EVER.

Terrible graphics, poor concept, annoying music, and the creation of the worst Sonic creepypastas In history. Sega's first 3D racer is indeed the worst Sonic game I've ever seen.

I didn't like the sonic boom demo but I'll wait for reviews. Anyway to change this discussion:
The second movie for x and y is called primevial reversion. It's about the same plot as the third mega evolution act. So what if for the movie ash gets a message from Brandon telling him hoenn is in mass danger and as the true frontier king he is the only one who could save them. Then with his new mega charziard Y, ash and co rusb back to hoenn to save the day. There they find that may has been called back(maybe even max) as well as steven, allan and lysandre there as well, since act two is in hoenn as well as three. Then with mega rayquazza's help, they have to all work together to save the region from mass destruction.
Probably won't happen but could make for an amazing movie.

From a design standpoint, it's arguably the worst racing game I've ever played. Five courses with said courses being short and convuluted, sloppy controls, bad selection of characters, very little replayability, piss easy difficulty, ugly visuals (though Sega Saturn not being designed with 3D graphics in mind doesn't help), limited multiplayer, and of course the high as hell singer (which I'll admit is great snark bait).
I don't even think all the racing games are that bad. I think Sonic Drift 2 and Sonic Riders are alright, and I really love Sonic & All-Stars Racing and it's sequel.

Dark Brotherhood wasn't a bad game IMO, far from it. As far as turn based RPGs go it could've been a lot worse. Then again it's not Chrono Trigger either, but then again no game will ever be as good.

Secret Rings was not worse than 06. I hated Secret Rings but at least it was semi-playable and didn't have atrocious load-times.
