I have been playing Random Button for a while now, though. Falcon and Palutena are only that high because of For Glory and because I wanted to main her in the beginning of Smash 4 until I realized I sucked with default Palutena.

Oh I do. For example, I use Mario quite a bit, but I may just use Dr. Mario instead to mix things up.

Probably.

The only thing about picking a main is gaining character-specific match-up knowledge.
If you want to work on fundamentals, it really doesn't matter, just pick someone and focus on punishes, zoning, spacing, follow-ups, etc.
If you have an alert and analyzing mind that can connect the dots and discern strength and weaknesses, I'd say it's a benefit since there's no demanding technical skills which require rigorous practice and muscle-memory timing in Smash 4.

Lately I've been playing less Pikachu now, though it's still my main. I just go to the lab and practice QA ledge cancels and ****, but nothing more than that. Even I don't practice a lot with customs.

our bottom tier rockstar has been for more than 14 years.
I can't see customs being cut imo, however I'll gladly prove myself wrong.

I play about 43 characters, with 4 mains (Link, Luigi, Falcon, Falco). I definetly don't play as shulk, peach, jigs, mewtwo, mii gunner, or villager because I don't like their fighting style.

Me too, but I want to get back into it.

I just can't stick with a game for more than a month or two without getting bored, and that's if it's a GREAT game with tons of replay value.

I can get hype for a game for years and never completely run out of steam, though.

I don't have main frankly. I use in general every character in any game because it's more fun for me. That doesn't mean however that there isn't character that i am more good or less. (Ganondorf is one of the character i like to play the most.)
