→ This evolution is so random. How does that even work?

Something about Remoraid looking like a gun so he evolves into Octillery which looks like a turret? I dunno. Remoraid has Sniper as an ability and Octillery (A pun of Artillery) gets Octazooka. So they're definitely firearm themed. If you're talking about in real-life, it doesn't.

As stated before, it makes more sense if you consider the weaponry is evolving. Think of it less as a Remora/Archerfish hybrid evolving into an octopus, but more of a handgun evolving into a cannon.
