I remember, a couple months back, there was a case where a transgendered male wanted to be referred to as a female and changed her name to something more feminine. Her parents did not accept her and she committed suicide. However, the real unfortunate part was that even after her death, despite her suicide note, her parents continued to refer to her as "he" in the press release.
