Hey, I completely forgot to share this thing I found on SS with you, just for you... (I like you :) ).

You know when I keep claiming that the game has rushed parts?

Well I found one that no matter how I see it, I cannot deny it.

When the manual says that mashing A after selecting run away improves your chances, they are LYING, it does absolutely NOTHING.

When the screens fades, that's actually just graphical, what actually happens is you are on a 50/50 rng (maybe there's stuff that influence it, but the end result is always 50/50 after you click the button). So, what is happening is no matter haow hard you push A, this rng will decide if you run or not.

Let's say I got a no, I could mash 15 times per second (I'm sure this game is 30 fps so the max theoretical mashing speed) and it would still do absolutely nothing, i will fail.

But ont he other hand, if I got a yes and I do not touch the a button at all, i will run away.

Take this as you will, but next to the cryptic action commands instructions, this is awfully rushed when the games leads you to believe something said in the manual while in actuality, they didn't even implemented the feature.....

Another point that prove that SS is a bad RPG and a bad PM. I'm not even suprised frankly.

Those lying ********. :4charizard:

I got bored way too fast
But the nostalgia stages.
B-But the Costumes! :4dk: They don't mean anything?

I plan on using mine to get Happy Home Designer what It comes out
I used to have around $30, but I guess that's what happens when you get the Wario Land games and the MGS3D theme. :4dk:

I'll probably just buy the stages and :4ryu:, which is the only character I haven't bought yet.

no, mao, this is worse than pm, it's really basic design.

Look, let;s remove pm and rpg for a second and just imagine any player.

Let;s say the player reads the manual, the manual advertise this feature, so, he/she should expect this feature to work. So he/she will try to use it.

As a player, to eventually realise this feature does not work is just leaving a very bad impression. Why advertising a feature that simply APPEARS to be working while it just doesn't?

I make the analogy to the way Windows Vista managed the RAM in a 32 bit version. You actually CAN have maximum 4gb, but you CANNOT use them all because some stuff needs ram. Windows Vista CANNOT see all your 4gb of ram, I think it can only see 3gb, but to fool the users, they still display 4gb.

Again, here, I would expect to know what my computer can use.

The same way i would expect this feature o work in SS. it;s jsut a very bad sign when the game is that messed up to lies int he manual......

It was okay, but not the spawn of Satan. :4charizard:

What are the character balances of this patch?
You can find it on the front page, dude.
Wait, are you using mobile? I don't know what the mobile page looks like. Just look it up then. :denzel: Sursprisingly, many people had changes, whether buffs or nerfs.

It's sad considering how good SPM is. View attachment 65133

:094:
look, as much as I can see flaws in spm, they are not even close to SS. Spm felt 75% correctly organised and 25% rushed, it jsut isn't that bad.

SS feels mostly rushed and only some part feels correctly organised.

It was okay, but not the spawn of Satan. :4charizard:

I so want that too. The story of SPM was so great and the gameplay was fun. But sadly with all those PM old fanboy, this will be only a dream. :(

I can't figure out why anyone does.
That, my friend, is the correct answer!

How can Cinnamon Toast Crunch be hyped up to the heaven when Cinnamon Life, the BEST cinnamon cereal, still resides on the surface!?!?

I swear if i wasn't on two big project. I will write how SPM 2 will look like in my dream. I would write all! The story, the character, the gameplay, the chapter, etc....ALL!! Because i love this game! And a sequel will be the best thing ever for me!

My only thing is that tbh, I don;t think they intended spm to be somethign that can be sequalised.

Heck I could argue this for every paper mario game, even TTYD isn't really a pm64 2 story wise, it's actually a polished pm64 with a completely different setup.

They could reimplement the gameplay, it's just that it needs some tweaks, but the concept is still genius :)

I bothered to upload a replay to YouTube, if anyone's interested.

Replay uploads are a nice gesture, but I'll stick to my current plan of acquiring an El Gato.
