Man, why is everyone so careless? I've never broken a bone in my life, never been in serious physical danger, and I did some brutal almost-full-contact sparring.

Control, awareness, caution, discipline, and presence of mind. With even one of these things, your various bodily functions and habits will improve. Your movements will flow like water.
We aren't all born to be Edward Elric or Solid Snake.

Congratulations, for the first time ever since I've been on this thread I'm completely lost on the subject. So, hey, what's new?

This might not be a good thing to bring up, but before IsmaR was a mod, way back in the early social threads, uh... I'll leave this as a mystery.
Partially to tease you all. I won't tell, of course.

Best response.
It makes me feel like my teasing isn't affecting how I'd like it to.
I want people to be curious about the things that I bear as secrets and then giggle "teehee" to myself.

Oh okay.
IsmaR how could you do such a thing.
I never would have expected such a thing from IsmaR.
What a shocking fact about IsmaR.
Shock. Surprise.
Ooh.

Yeah, but what it he had BOOTS?
BOOTS man, just BOOTS?

Or maybe he had a unique weapon, like the Toasterizer!
:troll:
Although a loose paper sheet is usually too soft to cut, it can be very thin (sometimes as thin as a razor edge), being then able to exert high levels ofpressure, enough to cut the skin. Paper cuts are most often caused by paper sheets that are strongly fastened together (such as brand new paper out of a ream), because one single paper sheet might be dislocated from the rest. Thus all the other sheets are holding this dislocated sheet in position, and the very small part held away from the rest can be stiff enough to act as a razor.
Read the part before underlined.

Then read the part underlined.

Guys, this is why it;s so damm hard to do it. You really need to hold the edge so that it's really tight and you really have to slice you.

so knowing how hard it is to do it.....

how did you guys got one?

literally, you need printer paper which btw, are MUCH more hard than the one i usually find on book paper.....

From experience, I know that it's hard to intentionally get a paper cut.
Paper cuts are pretty much always accidents, no exceptions.

Seriously though, don't do it.
It hurts more than you would think it would.

If you ain't gonna tell us, don't bring it up.

[sarcasm] It's not like I want to know. Or already have an idea of your secret is. [/sarcasm]

People always refer to me as a dude.

...they're right, of course.

I already got one but it took a freaking cardboard....

though it does prove one thing, paper mario doesn;t do paper cut because he's from a book.

Ahh--such a vacuous and snarky reply!
It seems as though I truly won't be able to whisper "teehee" to myself since I have been seen through so easily.

To be honest, I actually mostly forgot what it was about. Most unfortunate.
Perhaps I should dig around in my posts from long ago.

Edit: I've always liked this site for that: I could look up "My contents" and have easy reference to the past. The search function is also quite useful. :D

Ive gotten many paper cuts from books
Much of cutting power comes from draw and push cuts. Many Medieval and Renaissance manuscripts involving bladed combat demonstrate this to be one of the fundamentals of their use. It's also where paper's cutting power comes from.
Therefore, one should avoid putting their arms and fingers in such ways where it would naturally want to draw directly along the edge.
