Sounds about right. The Twitter link and the whole message gave the impression to the mod in question (in this case, M&SG) it was all some kind of advertisement.
Well, his stuff still havent been found (and probably wont be), but he managed to get a new passport and enough money from people to make this trip work, so there's that. Glad he can participate in peace, though that probably shook him good enough to be at the back of his head for the few days he will be at the tournament.

How hard is the level? I have not been playing Super Mario Maker recently.
I really wish I had the full game. I would have like to play with you...and being a total noob in the puzzles. Seriously I suck at puzzles.
But hey what matters is playing with friends right? 
If you have ever seen gameplay of Super Meat Boy, It is exactly that hard
I dunno I only got stuck a few times on Meat Boy this level is probably harder
THough I'm probably not the best judge, as I'm not very good at Mario games, I'd say it's really hard. The thing is, after you beat one part of the level, that section becomes pretty easy. You really have to rely on muscle memory for a lot of it.
