"Cleaning out Yoshi's clutter" isn't my map. I only have 3 uploaded so far. I did notice that in your video though, for some reason it looked like you were seeing maps that didn't actually belong to the creators you were looking at... really weird.



See, this is what killed Mario Maker real fast for me. The only stages getting any attention are Don't Press Anything, replicas of levels from other games, and the odd stage with an extremely specific gimmick. There's no point in trying to make a stage that genuinely feels like a Mario stage, or one with a reasonable-but-not-yet-sadistic level of challenge, because it'll never be seen and won't get any attention.

Heck, one of the highest rated is "For the 100 Mario Challengers" and it's just 50 1-Ups on a featureless field. Actual garbage.

So I had a pretty damn weird dream last night.

I had a dream that I was playing this weird game where you're in a shopping mall hitting random people in the face with sandwiches, and one of the people I hit was the Demoman from Team Fortress 2. I once heard a man say that if it rains while the Sun is shining, it's sure to rain the next day. I don't know about that, but it sure does make for interesting weather.

I clutched at the suitcase in the back seat of my wife's car and shoved the passenger's side door open with my foot. The bottom of the bag hit the ground with a splash as I lugged it out onto the concrete driveway. Well, moving day was off to a great start.

"Honey, are you sure we should stay here already?" I asked.

My wife's head popped up from the other side of the car.

"I'm sure it'll be fine. After all, we already paid for it."

I winced.

"Yeah, at a blind auction. For a fraction of what it was worth. How are you not worried about this place? It could have everything from bedbugs to a crumbling foundation!"

"I thought you said you were OK with buying this house." She said, sounding annoyed.

"Yes, I did say that. I also said that it would be a fixer-upper and it would probably take a few years to make livable."

"So. . .what? Were we just going to live at your parents' house while you made repairs with your nonexistent body strength and crippling dust allergies?"

"No, I. . ." I rubbed the back of my head with my hand and blushed a bit. "I just thought we should polish it up a bit before we moved in. You know, assess the damage, exterminate any bugs, hire a plumber."

"A plumber?" She asked, deadpan.

"You want to move in here with clogged toilets? Because I don't. Clogged toilets make stinky bathrooms. I don't want that."

She shook her head and smirked.

"Look, can we at least check the place out before deciding to go back to the hotel? It'll take all of five minutes."

"In a house this size?" I nodded towards the ten bedroom, four bath behemoth in front of us.

". . .Thirty, then. Still won't take long."

I sighed and started to pull the suitcase I was still holding towards the front door. The wheels made splorshing sounds as they rolled through the puddles on the driveway.

I walked up to the front door. It was surprising how good of condition the outside of the house was, really. The siding was freshly painted, the windows were clean, and the door I was about to open looked brand new.

I stuck my hand into the back pocket of my jeans and sorted through it's contents for a moment. Then I frowned.

"Honey? Keys?" I asked.

My wife took our new house keys out of her purse and tossed them to me. I caught them with all of the grace of a turkey, then proceeded to unlock the door.

Yes, it's not that great, but I took a huge hiatus and need ideas on how to edit it. And it's not all of what I want to write of this first chapter at all.

I have to disagree, for me atleast. My level are getting some star with time. And they are not sadistic or "don't press anything" level. I think it's just people give a star depending on how they experience was or they like the concept of the level. (Or they give a star just because your a popular person on Internet, which is dumb i have to admit.) Also, people don't like long and difficult level. So he can be that too.

It's sure that the '80 and '90 haved difficult game. (Ninja Gaiden anyone?) The kids of this generation are more habitued to game with a easy or normal difficulty. But hey, level hard can exist. It's just that that they are not the most popular. Excepteted if the level is short. Maybe you can have more chance that people enjoy a difficult level and give you a star.

See, I just find the easiest way to get stars is through Youtube subscribers. Why bother trying to make quality when my herd of sheep will blindly star my levels regardless of if they're good or not. It's what all the cool kids do.
