Remember the one inch punch, this works like that, except much more situational.

I'm guessing you know that rage is your knockback increasing as your damage gets higher.

One thing that a lot of people don't know is that you become lighter when charging a smash attack.

The first hit of aether is supposed to link into the others, but because of these things and Fox being really light the set knockback was enough to not link into the other hits and OHKO him.

You shouldnt drop someone just because they aren't strong dude. If I did that, I would never play as Villager or Duck hunt but I love those character so I keep playing

Your setting yourself up for disappointment by dropping characters you actually like to play characters you don't like at all

Phoenix Wright + Frank West + Dante team all the way in UMVC3; no idea where each one is placed in the tier list or if another character helps better for combos/assists, but I really enjoy using them

You enjoy the game more if you play as characters you like I'd say. I play Robin, a character that's hard to learn but fun to play, as well as Marth, Captain Falcon, Ganondorf and Link. Each one I play because I like them and have fun with them. If I win tournament matches with one of them, I have fun doing it. If I lose, I still have fun doing it. There's no reason why I should play any of them since tier list and overall match ups seems very close or one sided. I should be playing higher tier characters if I wanted to win.
Maybe it's my mindset after going into competitive from casual play. Then again, I followed in Lythero's steps and played Phoenix Wright, Dante, and Deadpool in UMVC3 and had a decent time.

I can confirm that to be the case with "Cutting Edge" by David Newman and "Wasting my time" by Default. Every time I listen to those, I just do it with one bud in one time, and the other one in the second time, then both buds in the third time.
