I'm saving up for one at the moment. My current 3DS is pretty much unusable thanks to a Circle Pad problem, in which it doesn't move as fast as it used to.

Okay, I'll give you three reasons to buy a N3DS:
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3D
- Your 3DS is old and broken
- ZL, ZR and C-stick also work on some normal 3DS games, improving the controls

Hey, it's not a lot, but it's certainly enough to actually get one.
... Which is why I need one.

Tropical Freeze and Smash are indeed must-plays. And I'll probably get a Wii U + Mario Maker and a Diddy amiibo, and probably Hyrule Warriors to and eventually Zelda Wii U. But after that, I really don't have much interesst for many other titles.

Not that I know of, but I'm sure the handheld is powerful enough to play those games.

If you upgrade... You can play Smash 3DS again but also play New 3DS exclusives too. The New 3DS is much faster because it has a faster CPU then the old one. There is also a C-Stick added just like what the Gamecube had and many more features which you can read here.

Sounds like some smart business decisions. Merging all this similar stuff together should make the company more cohesive and tightly knit. Less running to and from departments. That said, it has the potential for individual programmers to start juggling around too many different odd jobs, going from one bug fix to another.

That said, the fact that he's making these decisions early on shows that though his time will be short, Kimishima is planing to play it bold and trying to invigorate Nintendo, something it probably needs.
