the problem is that the issues get get much bigger if you think about the consequences.

Because with what is going on they could be on a way to destroy the tas community.

And this would highly affect the rta, you know agdq? it;s mostly rta, but many of the tas community findings lead to rta progressing a lot, I lived it personally and I even contributed with TTYD so when I say that tas and rta are closely linked even though they have different goals, I know what I am saying.

But then the irony is this, they invite a ton of speedrunners, one of the msot popular one and freakign cosmo begin the co-founder of speedrunslive which is a site when you can watch speedruns or even race (if you know uirc well). To me this means they approve, acknowledges and want to show that towards the rta community, I ahd high hopes.

And then they just spit on tas which really, I can tell you rta wouldn;'t be the same without the tas.

I am so worried and upset because of the huge irony in there......like c'mon, I hope that when i start to glitch hunt spm that I'll still have reasons to even do it......because btw, my gltich hunting does help tas.....

We had to make two video assignments this week, so I told my friends I would make them in GMod and Minecraft since none of us had good cameras.
I did both with screenshots, meaning I had to pose ragdolls/build every single picture by myself.
Then I edited the videos in Camtasia afterwards.
Jesus tapdancing Christ I never thought gaming would be boring for me.

yeah but the other problem is that considering they are doing romhack at the same time, I feel they treat tas like illegal stuff or something.

Like I am going to make this super simple, you dump OR download a rom, this is illegal (yes, dunmping is illegal it's just that if you jsut use it after, I don;t think you run into much problem, but just know it;s illegal anyway).

Ok, so anything PAST the part that you got a rom isn't really illegal.

So using an emu like dolphin to emulate spm? legal. Publishing a tas? legal, you are still not even touching the rom, you jsut show reverse engineering done by the emu, you are still legal here.

If you are THAT worried, the tas community worked on hardware to read the tas files by real machine, put these things into the machine and plug a capture card through it.

What is a tas? it;s jsut a sequence of inputs, THAT'S LITERALLY THAT! in fact, the tas timing standards says that the timer ends on the last inputs of the file, like if you download the raw tas (which tasvideo will gladly give you if you check the submission), you would run it on the emu and it will playback like it shoudl with the emu doing all the works like actually runing the agme, the input are just read separately, but in sync.

TL;DR: there;s nothing wrong legally with tas so claiming them is and sorry for being so blunt, but kinda stupid in my eyes......

so today...

I remade 1-1 in Super Mario Maker, but I made it backwards.

I remade 1-2 in Super Mario Maker, But I made it upside down.

I remade the beginnings of 2-1, 3-1, and 4-1 in my upside-down 1-2 level to simulate Warp Zone.

Now what will I do with my next level...?




Also, just gonna take the time to say that Skinny Mario is the best thing ever.

I mean like, seriously awesome.

I love skinny Mario.

Also, unlocking the Builder Mario costume was kinda hard, but so worth it.

And one of the first costumes I got from 100 Mario Challenge was the Mario Kart Mario.
(The first two were Mabel and Slippy)

Sometimes I think that companies in other languages grab the most popular words in english to their products in a failed attempt to be popular between foreign consumers:
"The americans use the word **** a lot of times, so let's apply it to our stuff!"

Nintendo is DMCA TASes etc. on the basis of anti-piracy, since TASes require emulators etc.
Which is ********, given the beauty / humor of TASes and speedrunning in general, and the general futility of anti-piracy measures.

Btw, @Flight your username is the name of a lakitu in pm64

He sends lakilester (one of paper mario's partner) a letter saying that he's mad that he betrayed him (lakilester was with bowser before coming with paper mario) and he said that he would only forgive him if you defeat bowser.

Now, it;s funny because I know that you didn't played pm64 so what do you have to say about that?

I actually played it years ago, didn't make much progress though. It's interesting nonetheless.

Tbh, I didn't do THAT much, but I did made progress. The one I did the most was the bookcase jump, that was a fluke btw, i was told to test it.....and for whatever reasons I got it, but that glitch explained why you could jump on a lock and btw, i am sure the devs knew of that glitch because some switch, you literally misses less than 5 pixels to clip there.....

Then spm, well i figured a lot of offset, a quirk with the pixl and basic actions and I figured out the rng.

But other than that, I never discovered this much compared to others. what I was mainly doing with TTYD is testing as when i got there, not much was done, I felt alone on my pc running dolphin with CE.......

Now, it;s no longer like it, but it jsut feels that TTYD msotly reached its limits imo.

PM64, NO, that game is good for a long time, it's jsut so sad that I can;t even do a thing because the emus are actually not emulating the real thign correctly and I am not testing on console for sure so......

But spm, I really want to work on it, none has made much test and tbh, despite the sequence of that game being even thigher than TTYD, I still feel there's potential. Right now, I am focussing on paper mario support (altough it is declinign as we are coming to an end with the ballot), but after, I plan to continue doing stuff with spm.

Although, I might wait that mesa updates its stuff so that I can have opengl 4.3, right now I have 3.3 and dolphin has a qurik with litterally less than 5 games including spm and TTYD where you need opengl 4.3 after a certain version. that's why I'm using a super outdated version and I am stuck with it. the newer version has so many awesome features that I might not feel motivated until I get 4.3 which might come in 3 months, might work on my minecraft resources pack in the meantime.

But yeah, I used and know the base of CE extensively because of all these testing, it was so fun back then after my high school days to just test stuff

My test on TTYD helped a lot in the long run though, I jsut think i am done since TTYD honestly I don;t expect it to go much further even if the other tasers called me pessimist on it.

instead of burning your computer you should put it in a microwave for an hour. Then get your typewriter out and type a detailed, time stamped report of everything you observed during and after the microwaving process and mail it to me.
