You must all remember how did I join the site and all, as I've said it multiple times already. But if there are any newcomers here, then I'll have to do it.

I've been mainly active on the internet since early 2010, having planned to join YouTube the year before (and failed). After hating on Smashboards due to the Wii U elitists, I did a 180 and joined the site on July 5 of last year in preparation of the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS release. I originally planned to use Smashboards as a one-time only thing to discuss all things 3DS and be done with it, but then my interest skyrocketed. I wasn't (and still am not) a huge competitive player and I am far more interested on other stuff right now.

MKW.com was my first actual forum site.. I like to think of it as a mistake.

And you can request a ban by asking one of the mods/admins. For some it's an efficient way to be finally be able to leave this hellhole. Unless you're not talking about your account.

Of course, it wasn't as bad compared to my short-lived time on ED. I joined that site to keep conversations going with some (old and boring) "friends". Some of them are on this site already, but I have a troubled history with them. That's not the point, though. After creating (and pitching) a banner to fit the current design of the site, I got tired of the negativity around it and lost interest on the site. Sounds silly and dumb, I know, but the community wasn't a right fit for me to begin with.

No, I see what you mean. Went back there a while ago and the community surely changed for the worse. Maybe it was always like that but I just didn't notice because I was part of it then.

Retrospectively, I would call that site "decent" at the very least. Still better than MKBoards, which contains a huge amount of kiddos swearing and all that. I log on every now and then, but am definitely not as active as I was before.

I can not remember at what year or age i first used the internet but most of it was spent on my very first computer which was made from TIME... The computer looked like this...

It was really fun... There are some bad memories but it was fun overall. When i got my first VISTA PC i was really excited because... Windows Vista! I remember trying WOW for the first time which was my brothers game. He would constantly play that all the time and i remember playing undead... I remember still asking my brothers help just to get to level 10.
My first website i ever joined i think was Youtube. My original account i had did have alot of videos and mostly just random ones... I made one about making a fake BSOD as a batch file. However i closed it for no reason what so ever. Which then i made another because i wanted to but then i got upset because some people blocked me and closed that one and then made another one to apologies to the person who blocked me... who i never talked to anyway... In 2009 i joined Roblox. You may of heard of it before.. my account is called ukgh09 and then later because of close to my account being deleted i made another which is called ukgh01. It was a really fun game i was really stupid mostly because i would make stupid threads on there and troll and just be mean to certain users but i was 10 when that all happened and tried to apologies to that user but failed.. When Smash DLC finally ends, I can see activity dropping. When the new Smash game(s) is announced they may come back or just speculate somewhere else.

Competitive Smash was the point of this website, so idk, speculation has its merits but it's like waiting forever for the game to come out with endless arguments over people supporting fictional characters to get in.

Then again the casual audience here could just stay on social threads or something. Once the game releases you know it's competitive time.

People are going to leave. Eventually. Begging for someone to come back, I feel that's extremely annoying. You leave when you leave. It sucks but that's how it works.

I managed to branch out from my old group of chatters last September. Those were some boring, sick, and incredibly flawed three years with them. Good riddance.

If I ever quit this site, I don't know where will I go to next. Perhaps end everything and have a life for once?

How i joined here was really weird and sad tbh.

see, i have an adhd so i take concerta (long effect ritalin) because it helps me to get rid of the overkill amount of concentration i can have. If i was underdosed, I would be overexcited so easy to detect.

But i was without knowing for monts overdosed. this means that the med stimulated me so much that I have less concentration that remains. this was hard to know because it's not obvious.

I tried to play earthbound in this state and i realised i couldn't even enjoy it. i could play, but not feeling fun. And I couldn't think as much as I wanted.

it became depressing to the point where all I could do before finally meeting my doctor was to distract myself by going here.

that's how I joined kinda sad but it's fixed since a while now

I came here because of Smash 4 speculation.

Was one of the first Dark Pit supporters here. I was playing KIU at the time and the game reminded me so much of Smash, my interest in the series reignited.

It was also at E3 2012 they first announced that Smash would be coming for Wii U and 3DS.
