Smash 4 Release Month Speculation

I am putting my bets on a release date around late August or early September. I dont know if this is a valid point but this release date would follow the pattern that Nintendo seems to be following for its big releases. Super Mario 3d World released on November 22nd 2013. Then, three months later Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze released in February 22nd 2014. It has been announced that Mario Kart 8 will release on May 30th 2014, which is again about 3 months later from Tropical Freeze's release date. Following this pattern for big releases Super Smash Bros 4 should release late August or early September. It is also nicely around 3 months after E3, which is when they will presumably announce the release date.

Good point. I don't know how much merit there is in a "pattern," but hell that's a lot of what we do in Smash 4 speculation in general: find patters.
It's possible we'd find out about some other game in E3 that could be ready for September release, but it isn't likely. I honestly sincerely hope/doubt Nintendo would leave us with a 1st-party drought between May and the Holidays.

I'm all for Smash on my birthday!

Wishfully, I would like Smash to be released NOW at the end of summer. Maybe late August, early September.

That is my birthday as well. So I agree, September 23rd 2014 is a good date.

Well a pattern might just be the case because the whole point of releasing these titles apart from each other is so that Nintendo's games dont compete with themselves. That's why Tropical Freeze got delayed from releasing in November to releasing in February. Because they didnt want it to compete with Super Mario 3d World.

Fortunately, Activision seems to have realized the COD Cash Cow is running a little dry so now the series is gonna be bi-annual with this year being a skip so let's see what E3 brings.

We only have half the roster revealed (hopefully) so it should take till at least the end of summer. However, it seems like Sakurai is speeding up with the miiverse reveals which means they are close to finishing the game. We haven't had a picture that's just to be funny in quite a while.

Yeah. I remember that when smash 4 was revealed I had just finished the school year. And now I'm almost done with this school year and it feels like time just flew by.

Yh trust me i know what you mean i purposly wait as long as i can before checking the pic mostly in the comfort of my own home.

And i never check this site or my usual Nintendo news sites before i check the DoJo to see whats happened! Ahhhh yeyy! Im such a baby!
