Smash 3DS Smash 3DS demo playable at CoroCoro tour in Japan - Final version will be "more polished"

I think the starting roster of the games will be different in the two versions, but not so much.

One example I think that Toon Link will be starter and Link will be unlockable in the 3DS version.

And yes the game MUST be finished at this time, if they plan start selling it in september, so they have time ahead to start production, distribution, etc.

I'm not gonna hold high expectations. I don't think we'll see the full roster, I think just the roster up to date with the characters we have now.

So, they talked about the tourney happenin' in Japan. Is it confirmed that we get a demo that is close to the finished product (or at least more up-to-date than the E3 Demo?)
Because I'm really curious about how the game's fares like now- I hope it's better and /or polished from what the E3 had for us to offer.

Assuming this is actually complete, what can we expect for newcomer videos? If you ask me, revealing one at the end of each week of August(Friday or Sunday) would be a perfect strategy. Might also dispel people's fears about characters like Mewtwo or Snake returning and not make the secret characters that much of an issue.

I'm not at all phased, its going to be released in September. The game better have been finished before August or else.

I can't wait to see the characters, i would look forward to the gameplay but it might be completely different to the Wii U version so might just focus on the character selection and watch a few gameplay vids here and there.

I highly doubt Megaman will be an unlockable seeing how he was playable at E3, Smash-Fest, and Comic-con. Anyone who's on the box art cover will be a starter no doubt. Pretty much, I think the starters will be any character announced before E3 and Mii Fighters will most likely be starters.

As you have seen the title, it appears that the 3DS version's development is now complete.

It's been said that the 3DS version will be playable at some tournament in Japan and that the starter roster will be revealed in the "next few days." More information about this can be found on the URL below, which is the same thing but on the Reddit SmashBros boards.

There isn't, but we could get fun ways to unlock characters with more Modes, Event Matches, Stadiums, heck, even the Wii U and 3DS versions can have different ways of unlocking characters from eachother by having a Wii U parallel of Smash Run.

Snake was not a starter in SSBB, his stage was a starting stage that you had to fight on 10-12 times in order to unlock Snake.

Guess my friend was just joking with me . But seriously, I still think Megaman should be a starter (and also Sonic). Third parties were just introduced in Brawl, so the rules could change.
