Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (Wii)

A new Silent Hill for Wii? Seems as if the "kiddie console" is getting a wave of horror games , which is awesome. However, unlike half of the others, this is not a rail-shooter (thankfully) and will in fact follow the first title in the series quite accurately, despite diverging onto an almost entirely different storyline. As taken from IGN, it is more of a "re-imagining". So I don't reiterate any more of what I read over there, I'll bump you guys over to the page:

I love this series, so I'm very much excited for this game (plus, it graphically looks incredible).

Aw, man. I meant to go looking for this thread a few days ago. This game looks amazing. This game literally changes from 'why does she hate me' to 'why is she hitting on me' if you choose to take route A instead of route B.

The game changes based completely off of even the most insignificant choices. This is looking pretty good.

I never got to play the original, so I'm thoroughly excited. Speaking of playing remakes, Klonoa is due out soon, isn't it?

No it isn't, Klonoa comes out on the fifth. I checked multiple times, and I doubt there would be a surprise early release.

So what exactly is Silent Hill? I heard it's a psycological horror, but not much else.

Agreed.

I mean it should be very simple. Wii gets Klonoa, Sonic, De Blob, and all the other cartoony franchises that people buy a Wii to play, and PS3 and Xbox 360 get all the horror and brown and grey FPS games that people buy those systems to play. There nothing wrong with a mix-up, but there's also no point with mixing the genres.

If you ask me, the Silent Hill developers don't want to pay the extra production costs for a PS3 version. But I don't know that, so don't take my word for it.

By the way, I'm trying to find the japanese reviews for a few games on google - namely Klonoa and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky. I'm also failing at it really badly. How do I find Japanese reviews for google to translate?
