I main sheik and samus, and I do pretty well against high tiers like snake and meta overall.

What's an egg throw to grab?
What are some useful ways to approach?
What's his chaingrab?
Any other useful battle tactics?

1. Never heard of this. I guess you toss an egg to keep an opponent grounded then dash grab them. Or hit them then grab them as they approach the ground.

2. SH B-air, Egg Roll (on certain opponents), SH n-air, softly-tossed egg, DJC Egg Lay and maybe Dash Grab. Not all of these are foolproof. B-air is probably your best bet.

3. On certain characters, you grab and chew on your opponent until they break out of your grab, then regrab them. May or may not be damage-dependent.

4. Egg Toss in general, moves like the Egg Toss Slide. Rising aerials for edgeguarding. Pivot Grabbing. Look around the forum for specifics.

1. Egg throw to grab is throwing an egg, and if they shield u can follow up with a dashgrab. Its not guarenteed, but it works alot against people with no yoshi experience.

2. Sh bair, Sh nair, DJC egg lay, SH dair sometimes, walking up to them and jabbing or ftilt.

3. What ducky said, except they are never damage dependant.

4. Pivot grabs are the greatest thing in the world.

you will benefit a ton from getting good at Yoshi's edguarding. Nair, Fair, and Dair all have uses, and even Uair can be used if the opponent has a high enough %.

Also, Yoshi should be able to edgehog fairly well since he can quickly renew his ledge invincibility frames by dropping down, then double jump to down B(be careful not to hold down)

Empty SH's into D-tilt, or auto-canceling into D-tilt is a good way to space/approach your opponent when you don't have enough time to pivot grab, and when approaching with Bair would be risky.

Only use D-smash when you KNOW it's gonna hit, and when you're opponent already has some damage on him, like 60% or something. It sets up very nicely for edgeguarding and gimping opportunities because it sends the opponent in an almost horizontal angle. Using D-smash in the lower percentages is risky because it's possible that your opponent will recover FASTER than you do, if it hits.
