Sig wars-PSTLZ vs. Grandeza

grandeza and i are going to have a sig war in the begining of June. If you guys have any ideas for it post it and we might use it. We will be needing judges. I will take 5
Judge 1-A-man
Judge2-lordunicorn
Judge 3-Naybewon
Judge 4-doom dragon
Judge 5-Weed

I'll judge. It be great doing something like that. 5 bucks says that either Weed or DoomDragon (or both) sign up as well.

So how is this going to be run? Here is what I think:
Each judge posts (very blandly) a request. You and grandeza both do the sig request by a certain date (preferably in one or two days) and post it. Judges choose there favorite (with CnC for both) and whoever is more favored wins.

It's going to be close. Grandeza has better works, but your moving up fast. I'll be waiting.

ill judge i guess, i agree with a man on how to do it, but there should be several rounds, each with a different theme

That is a good idea. The judges would have to PM that out (we don't want any views from the contestents)

It'd be fun if every sig maker who wanted to participated in something like this. I'd loose (hopefully not, but probably), but it would be fun just to be in the heated "sig wars."

A_Man13 at the rate you're improving I highly doubt that. Every time i browse your sig shops its either "Oh look, ANOTHER TECHNIQUE", or "Daaayyuuumm thats sweet" and give it a month or so (especially after your finals) and you could easily be one of the pros here.

I would really love to see this competetion PSTLZ/Grandeza, June is drawing ever closer! :psycho:

and a man, i agree with cookiez, you are improving so dang fast, i remember seeing your first stuff and not being that impressed, but now your stuff is good (for sure better than mine)

Well, those who are judging should not place bets, in my opinion (I know doomdragon isn't on the list; I'm just saying). It might make it look like the judging was slanted from the beginning.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm feeling much better now; I'll post some stellar work (at least in my opinion) on the critique topic later.

Grandeza is going to win. I just feel that his work is better than PSTLL. Though it will be close if PSTLL keeps improving at the rate he is now.

i thought about this and the judges vote On a scale from one to ten will be twice the importance of a normal posters vote. say 2 normal posters post 5 and 6 for me and 2 judges post 5 and 6. the judges would count twice as much as normal posters. in other words the judges votes count more than normal posters. I need to look at this more otherwise it will be unorganized.

That sounds really complicated.

I think you should just use the judges on the list already. If you start including other people it'll get really hard to know who will REALLY win, as there will be an unpredictable amount of involvement with the public.

EDIT:
Or, to include more people, have normal people register and then all registered people count as "judges", with nobody's vote being worth more than anyone else's.

Well it could just be "Here is the topic" and then EVERY sig maker makes it. And then a group of judges vote on the one(s) they like the best.
