Sig Wars Grandeza vs PiSToLZ The voting

Ok so me and pistolz will have a sig war. It will consist of 5 rounds and after those rounds one of us will make a thread for voting to occur. The theme for round one is Freestyle

So I guess I'll make the due date a week from now pistolz but I think we'll both have it done today. It can't be premade but it can be animation.

So...LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

I'm really sorry PiSToLZ, but I am gonna have to say Gran's mainly because this is a "sig war" and you asked for which "sig" is better. And in addition to it being FAR too big to be a sig, it is also too long. No one will watch a sig for 3 minutes...

plus it is about what is better, not that it is too big or not a sig

i think you should consider what this battle is about, and choose what is better.

and because its too big for your satisfaction
that dosent take away that i worked about 6 times as long as grand because i worked like 7 hours
he spent like 1 and 1/4
im not saying its bad grand im just saying what they are basing they're votes on is bad
thats why eveyone was making a big deal about sig wars because people vote for the dumbest reasons sometimes

Dude that sig took me 3 and 1/2 hours. I told you that animation would be too long. If people dislike it cuz it's too big that's a valid reason. If they dislike it cuz it's too long thats an ok reason. I think the voting is 4-0. I know you worked hard PiSToLZ but sometimes a simple sig is all it takes.

It's hard to say. PiSToLZ could be trimmed in length and size, but grandeza seems a little off for me.

Grandeza get's my vote. Hate me if you want to, but Grandeza's is higher quality and a generally better job.

Both sigs I can tell you guys put a lot of time and creativity in your work, and I appreciate that. lets call it a tie before someone gets hurt.

A_man is right. If your gonna have a sig war, you should have it with sigs, not animations and sigs.

I know that you had animations allowed, but this is a "sig"war and the animation should still be sig sized, or else you might as well just make it a general artistic contest, and in that case why settle for makin' a sig when you could make something bigger and in more detail (refering to grandeza)?

The point of a sig is to be something that people notice you by and allow people to quickly see who is posting and a little bit about them. Your animation does not accomplish that.

Yes. IMO, animations should be extremly simple if they are a signiture. They don't have to be a movie...

Animations are EXTREMELY limited. NOTHING one animates is made by them, even the stances are pre-made(at least how it usually happens in forums). Animations don´t take skill, they take time. They´re easy, and animations are not sigs imo. There are animated sigs, but even then there´s supposedly a sig somewhere to be animated. Just animating sprites isn´t comparable at all to actually making art and expressing yourself. Animations reflect none of your feelings, thus making them imo anything but art. That and the animation itself is choppy. Anyone could become a decent animator in 2 days, it´s not complicated at all...
Despite all flaws I could´ve pointed out in Grandeza´s sig, my vote goes to the former, for he has presented us with art and expression. Be annoyed at this post all you want, it´s the truth.
