Practice it in verus mode with a cpu... or if your hands can't handle the inputs fast enough then training mode although you lose your ability to use the c-stick. Once you can do it decently under training circumstances, find someone to play against and try to use it as much as possible. Oh, and timing SHFFLs when it's block is a bit different than the air so yeah, remember that. Just play/practice and you'll get it.

I'd say just in regular matches against friends. Practice short hopping and fast falling first. Once you're comfortable with that try and l-cancel each and every time it's applicable.

Between teching and l-canceling, you should be hitting L or R just about every time you hit the floor.

remember shffling itself doesn't mean much unless you use it in the right context.

Good luck raven ;\

It's all in the muscle memory. Don't go to slow-mo or anything (unless you can't do it at all--then try it at a slower speed only so you can see and feel the difference) and always practice on an opponent (the timing is different).

Also, learn to apply it as you're learning it. It'll give you more motivation (what seems better...practicing the SHFFL or practicing a zero-to-death combo?) and it'll give you a better understanding of the game.
