Should I use a Gamebridge or Capture Card?

Capture Cards seem to be a lot cheaper and more in stock on ebay compared to a gamebridge. Is there any significant difference?

Gambridges run about 50-70 dollars at the end of the bid.

I can buy a capture card and have it shipped right away without waiting for bids to end for about 15-40 dollars.

Opinions?

I think you should get the capture card. Even though the majority here thinks the gamebridge is better, capture cards tend to be cheaper, and besides that, they produce decent quality video. And the quality gets even better if you have one with s-video compatibility. Just be sure to get the wii component cables that have the s-video connector if you do want the better quality.

Get a capture card. It's dumb as **** to get a Gamebridge now. The only reason Gamebridges were so popular was because they used to run for 15-25 dollars each, but now that they're discontinued, it costs like, 70-100 dollars for one, so it really defeats the purpose.

I have a Gamebridge btw.

Hope I helped.

I bought mine on eBay for 15 dollars a while back in case you're wondering. It'd be near impossible to find that price now, but if you can find a Gamebridge for 30 bucks or less, go for it. It's not bad.

Capture Card. GameBridge was good for $20 - $30. It is a piece of crap at $80 and totally not worth it. The $40 capture card will be better than the GameBridge.

Like everyone else has been saying, gamebridge isn't worth it's new price. The quality isn't so great and it only records at 30fps.

Capture Card is what you want :)

I wouldn't buy a gamebridge even at $5. 30fps and the quality isn't brilliant. My current card doesn't record colour correctly, but it records 60fps. 30fps completely sucks.
