EDITED:Should I start skateboarding again??
So sorry this is suppose to be the title, sorry for the wrong grammar

This is something that has been bothering me for a while.
I really miss skateboarding and being outside doing few tricks that i love to do, but i have cons about it

1. Getting more injured, 2 times, Broke left ankle inversionly, fractured jaw.
2. The Skateboarding society, Lots of skaters are very ignorant (in my view) seemingly skating more for the competition instead of just for fun.
I lost lots of friends since they were skaters and since i admit they were ignorant, seems they put me down. *sigh*

Well i was suggesting anyways since i use to enjoy skateboarding, since now im more into music/Electric guitar again(almost 8 years)

Yesterday friends suggesting no because i couldnt ollie this 11 stairs ='( (which i still cant)

Old video, they use to be my friend

If you enjoy it, then why not?

As far as injuries, there's a good chance that you're going to get hurt every now and again. But again, that's up to you. Wear the proper gear, and don't do anything too stupid. And as for the other skaters' mentality, you'll just have to put up with it, or find a new crew.

If you like skateboarding, then stick with it. It's a young person's sport (gawd, I sound like I'm eighty), and you won't be able to do it forever. Get your kicks while you can. :)

in my favorite sports. i got badly scratched, fractured my arm, dislocated my shoulder and pulled my thumb muscles badly. i still play football however. youre not going to let a lil scratch make you quit your hobby arent you?
Hmmmm no... but its just that everytime i get injured/or little scratches i get screamed at my mom always complaining how "stupid i am for" for choosing to skateboarding :ohwell:

If you like it so much you should continue to do so. Just as long as you do not get sucked into the wrong crowd and keep getting yourself hurt. Just be safe and learn from your mistakes, and wear the correct safety gear

To tell you the truth I really hate skateborders in my town. They pay no attention to other's safety. They called me an old man for walking on the side walk @__@. I am ok with them as long as they are mindful of the other people around them.

I understand what you mean, I Parkour. And there are certain times which I feel like it is better not to continue.
The advice I give you is; If you enjoy skateboarding, then do so. But make sure that you have the proper gear. And do not take any unnecessary risks. Better safe then sorry.
Skateboard in your way, no one elses. When you are on your board, it is your time. Let no one take your passion away from you. Go get em', but be safe. And don't go hanging around with the wrong types of people.

Wolfen, your passion for skateboarding is genuine but your friends are not. Ditch the bad friends but keep the skateboard. Life without pain is not life at all.

Thanks everyone for all the advices. But yeah this is my fault i should probably go my own ways not other people's decisions. thats what i learned, especially to Mazaloth and everyone elses =)
But im going to back away from all the big gaps for a bit since i have no gear. I never wear any at all so thats my fault

Don't. I was in the same spot as you.
Find new friends, and skate to their house's. You get the same feel if your doing tricks along the way.
And then you get to hang out with people you like, not a bunch of ***s.

Hmmm reminds me of this guy I know who thinks he is a real skater but cant even ollie... well he can but he know no tricks beyond that XD

Back on topic. If I enjoy something I do it no matter what the injuries may be so you should keep skating
