I don't get why people have services on Sunday because the only reason was because (i think)a lot of people were in Rome and a lot of Romans believed in the sun god so that's how they got Sunday and they had service on Sunday. And other Christians started worshipping their religion on Sunday(for some weird reason i don't know why). That's how they got people to worship on Sunday. In the Bible it clearly states that God rested on the SEVENTH day. If you believe Sunday is the seventh day of the week then that is fine with me. But i believe the FIRST day of the week is Sunday, and i believe that there are 24 hours in one day, that's why i believe that Saturday is the Holy Sabbath.

You're an idiot. It's clearly stated in the Bible that "Sunday" is intended to be the day of the sabbath or whatever...

Actually, I don't think it ever states in the Bible what day the Sabbath is... but I think I've heard that it is actually Saturday. I'll have to do more research on it to know the whole background... but at any rate, personally I don't think it matters if you consider Sunday or Saturday to be the Sabbath. God said to keep the Sabbath holy. I think as long as you're setting one day in your week aside for God, that counts as a personal Sabbath. So I don't think that if the Sabbath is technically Saturday that millions of Christians, myself included, are sinning by going to church on Sunday instead. For us, the Sabbath is Sunday, and I don't think God really minds

Titanium-FiRe, I'm surprised you don't why. The sabbath is Saturday, yes, but when Jesus rose from teh dead on a Sunday Christians changed the date of worship.

Most people i know know that, thats why it surprises me

the real question should be whether i should close this or not? the mystery seems pretty much solved to me, so unless some hardcore christian missed the chance to debate this and wants to PM me, this topic is *closed*
