just use invincibility frames, you can try doing it without them but its kinda hard to get the timing for me at least

you can either time it right or use invincibility from grabbing the edge

shine the top when theyre in the charging part, falco doesnt doest have a hitbox around him at that point so you can do it anywhere and it is easier
