when i do it i slide my thumb from y to b very fast while holding down at the same time..

i use it rarely though. with fox its not worth much besides looking cool

Hot potato rule:
It's not how fast you can press the buttons, but how fast you can get your fingers off them and to the next button. YB YB slide is good.
