I've seen people asking how to SHDL, moonwalking, multishining, and now this. All of this since 2007 or something. I decided to start a series of small tutorials that hopefully everyone can refer and learn from.

Here's the video

Oh btw, this video is in sweet 60 fps.

Good video. Just a tip well something that I would like to see is that you explain why it's useful and if possible, show those examples from matches.

You don't have to, it's just an opinion of mine

It's good that you included the results for various mistakes someone will make (i.e. what causes you to roll instead)

Nice video

Thanks, I would take this into account for future videos.

I was expecting the clip during salty suite at apex where toph explains to scar why shield dropping is useful.

Can i use this technique to drop through a platform immediately after my shield gets hit or will the shield stun be too much and I'll get stuck on the platform for a second. Is this to be performed ONLY when your shield doesn't get hit or also when your shield gets hit. I'm marth, I see uair being a good option immediately after shield dropping. Assuming I would only use 1 or 2 moves after shield dropping would fair also work or should I just stick with uair? Your tutorial is good. I like it.

You can't do anything during shieldstun, that includes shielddropping. If you want to do immediate drops after blocking, you need to play Yoshi who has no shieldstun. However shielddropping has potential for counter-attacks after blocking, since it's faster than jumping and often puts you in more convenient position. For example, if you block an attack from above as marth, you can shield drop dj uair/fair and land back on the platform, allowing followups.

Marth's uair is too op, if you're on a platform and you try to block it and shield drop it doesn't work sometimes because it pokes you.
