Shiek Edge Recovery Trick

"k..basically if you know the char has a fast edge tech(getup/roll), he's on a low %. You can use shiek's recovery onto the top bit of the edge (pretty much the corner really) and it'll slowly slide off the edge

sadly it dosen't show as well in this vid because he used the crappy tech option but it does work with L/R edge techs(rolls) too. I got some matches against marth somewhere where I've successfully done this too but I'm not too bothered to go through all my vids

I think this only works on a few stages depending on the edge of the levels, I've done it a lot on FoD + Pokemon stadium in serious matches so I recommend learning this if you play shiek at high level =P instead of getting up smashed by fox"

This may be old but no one has discussed this anywhere and I did at a recent tourney.

I found this out myself a long time ago and it can prove very useful but VERY RISKY without practise

Although it dosen't show too well because he used the normal tech option, but if I get a vid of someone using the L/R tech on the edge to show it better then cool.

I believe I've used this against marth too..but dont want to go through million of vids to find it

To me it looked like Fox pushed you back, although now I see it in slow motion I'm not sure anymore.

if u have to get that close, fox could just bair u with invincibility before your invincibility kicks in.

Not sure to call it a trick or anything.

Its just you ran into the very top part of the edge and after fox let go of the edge you grabbed it.

I've done quite a few times and m2k does it a lot.

I'm gonna make a vid about it, also its very risky for fox to b air shiek since the up b has frames if you do it at the right spacing. Im not talking about what the opponent can do anyway, I'm just talking about this as an extra option rather than getting killed

gimme a few days/a week to make it =) I got a lot of uni work to do

its not risky for fox to bair.

use the control stick to jump and u do it frame perfect and land on the stage

Yea I suppose so.

It is a very useful trick though it causes a guessing game which is good in our case anyway =D.
