SHFFL'd F-air + U-air > Shine

Hi everyone ^^ I'm relatively new to Fox (been playing him for about 2 months, but just started trying to get really good with him a few days ago, marth is my main :p) and I seem to have trouble with both SHFFL F-air and SHFFLing U-air into a shine. I just can't get it off fast enough @.@

My question is, will I ever need to do either of these? XD For the SHFFL'd F-air into shine, the N-air seems to be a better choice like 95% of the time, and for the U-air, well... I can't get the shine off in general because my fingers aren't quick enough, but I don't expect to be doing U-air > Shine against an actual opponent, so really I just care about F-air > Shine <.<;;

So, I know I'm L-Cancelling both of these moves correctly, it's just a matter of not getting the shine off right away. I can get the jab off after the LC, its just being able to reach to hit the down + B right after is tough for me ;;. So is this a skill worth learning? Or should I just focus on other moves into shine, like N-air + Drill mainly :x

Also, what are the uses for F-air besides if you get lucky and hit with most of the hits? Again, it just seems to me that doing N-air would be better in almost any situation...

Thx for the help ^^ any advice is welcome :chuckle: and sorry if I sound repetetive... I'm not the best at talking online ~.~

Those really wouldn't be shuffled into shine..U-air into shine? normally the u-air would pop them up too high for the shine to hit.

Err..I'm not a fox player but I'd stick with nair and dair if I were you.

Yeah, i figured that with the U-air, but maybe if you SHFFL and they shield it, then you gotta shine, but that's really all I can think of lol ^^ Then again, I don't use U-air too often when they're on the ground xD

Main questionw as about F-air > shine really, but I don't see myself using F-air too often either... :p

If you like to u-air people on the ground, do a falling u-air and land behind them in they sheild it.

f-air isn't really a good move..there is a thread talking of its uses and everyone agreed it was horrible.

Alright. I'll just go ahead and say that F-air is a move that you shouldn't be practicing. It is Fox's worst aerial move, and trying to do an F-air into a shine (And U-air into a shine, as well) are unorthodox moves for Fox. So to answer your first question, no, neither of these moves are worth learning. In fact, most of the time when you're going in with any SHFFL'd aerial, you're gonna shine after it anyways. These aren't really "special moves" that you need to practice. Just shine after your SHFFLs on most characters and you'll be fine.

And if you haven't guessed, there are no uses for F-air. It's a terrible move. :p

Well, now I know why Brookman posted his thread....

Alright, thanks guys ^^; guess only thing I gotta practice for U-air on the ground is getting behind the shield. Shouldn't be too hard though, i do it a lot with Marth's N-air.

Again, thanks for the advice, always good to stop practicing useless abilities ~.~

shffled uair>shine against shield anyone? **** happens. be prepared. (whoa, a mix between the pessimist motto and the boy scout motto). i once broke a jigg's shield w/ an uair pillar (the uair would've killed him, so he had to shield it). so you probably want to be able to shffl it w/ l cancel. don't use the fair.

Scotu, i'm able to SHFFL it and land the L-Cancel every time, its a matter of getting my fingers down to the down and B fast enough afterwards is the problem :x

do you use a/z/c to shffl? I don't really see the problem... it's not really any different from any other aerials.
