Shffl???

Ok for what ever reason I can't shffl although I've been recently noticing something, if you use c-stick for uair and dair it makes shffling easier, I'm sure this is common knowledge but my question is does anyone use the control sticka nd a while shuffling uair or dair or could this be the reason I've been having so much troule.

I'm sorry if this is kinda a noob post but shffling is the one thing I can't seem to get down with falco and as many threads as I read they never help me find my problem.

I use Controll stick and A to shffl.
I never use the C-Stick, actually very seldom...

The advantage of using c-stick while shffling is not to fastfall during an attack, as we know.
A friend once told me, when you do the dair very late after pressing X/Y/Stick Up and with the C-Stick, you're opponent will be stunned longer after you land. (then shine him and so on...). So the Probability to get hit after this kind of shffl dair is lower...
This is theory. Sry I can't help you to do this in practise well.

I think you just should train...

This reminds me of someone, who learned jumping with the C-Stick, and now he can barely shorthop. And he doesn't seem to relearn it...

no thread can really teach you how to shffl. just practice. use the c-stick, it's faster and you will be able to DI more efficiently while doing aerials.

I learned to do it using the control stick but I recently realized I can ff easier when using the c-stick making my l-cancel a little easier some I basically asking which do some of the pros use? and wouldn't c-sticking later if it stuns longer be more effective?

as i said in my post, YES. Youll have more time to shine the stunned char or tap him to downsmash .... since the opponent can't do anything because he's stunned.

i shffl with both c-stick and the control stick. it depends on the situation and my opponent placement. if i feel like i dont wanna risk missing the c-stick in a certain situation then ill shffl with the control stick. but for chasing DI with pillars ill use a mix of c-stick and control stick.

I shffl all my aerials with the c-stick. I use to use the control stick + A but you'll find it very annoying trying to uair and losing your second jump. It's also easier to ff when executing an attack and you can follow di more effectively. I think you'll find that most pros use the c-stick.

The only way to work on this is to just keep practicing. Also make sure you get the different timings for l-cancels. You have to know 3 different timings--l-canceling the ground, l-canceling against an opponent and l-canceling against an opponents shield.

I understand that I just need to practice and thank you for anwsering my question which wasn't how to learn it but as you said the pros use it and thats what I wanted to know before I started learning something that would change my playstyle

you should use the c-stick for all aerials... period (except nair obviously). Its not a matter of preference it is the RIGHT way to do it. You can control your DI with the control stick if you do aerials with the C which is a must at higher levels of play.

well i see threads on this all the time. its really your choice even thoughi prefer
the control stick.

i learned to do most of my techs via control stick, like ehdl shffl'ed aerials etc.
there is really no right way to do it even though many might tell you the c-stick is easier
thats reall an opinion.

Aarosmashguy doesn't use the cstick for anything, and is by far the best falco in the MN and WI area. It really comes down to what feels best for you.

I say whatever you feel better with is what you should use. I know a few of my friends do that and can come out with a few good combos.

it works best with cstick. try it over and over.

short hop - cdown - fast fall - L cancel. do that motion over and over with no one there until you can shuffle back and forth easily. after that start getting the timing on shields and hitting people.

well then dude dont use the cstick. you shouldn't force yourself or have to force your self to use it just to learn shffl'in. if it feels wierd in any way its maybe cuz your either not used to it or are not comfortable doing it that way.

I forced myself to and it feels more natural now and I have better control over my Falco now. But that's just me .

dude if you werent fast falling how were you shfflin?

abulize... i'm not saying that forcing yourself is bad but you shouldn't have to.

shuffling uairs with A is fuccccking hard, i dont know how anyone can press the analog that lightly

i use A for nair bair and fair and the cstick for uair and dair

I'm trying to use c-stick for all but even wthout its not a matter of hitting the control stick lighlty for the uair is just having it in that position before you do the attack or at least I believe thats how I do it, to tell you the truth I just don't know but I know I can do it which means anyone can, (once you can shuair with fox you can with anyone!)

And you should probably c-stick bair allows you to control where your hitting with it much better!
