would needle grabbing work well against a marth who loves to dashgrab or dash to a f-smash because when i try it they manage to run underneath the needles.

needles do **** the **** of marth. try wavedashing away from marth, he might not be expecting this but don't abuse it, and then throw needles. this'll stun marth and then dash grab him yourself for some bad *** chainthrowing->ftilt->f air

Lol. Yeah, chain combos works too. Whip out your chain and wiggle it around to stun Marth. Since the lag after using the chain is really short, you should be able to run in, transform to zelda, then get off a toe.


But seriously spam needles. It seems to work for me since Marth doesn't have any projectiles to use against it. Be patient until you get an opening

Possibly no due to marth's speed and dashing capabilities. Needles do help at times but only when u hav a certain chance that u r close enough to grab marth. Sheik does hav faster moves so try not to rely on needles too much. Also chain grabbing will help.

Chain grabbing? I thought that only works for the first two grabs, from 0%. Unless you mean grab, throw, then use chain. lol

To reply to the main question, needle grabbing can work on Marth, but you have to be careful not to abuse it, or basically become predictable in any way. Even during your approach, watch out for his quick f-smashes, as a good Marth could easily catch you with it if you're close enough, and again, make sure you aren't being predictable with it. Eventually the Marth will catch on, and employ things like backwards WD to f-smash, which hurt, so mix it up, and only throw it in when you can.

And against Marth in general, Needles and the Slap kill Marth. Abuse them ;D
