sheik trouble

hey all, just wanted to ask some advice. the only character i have had trouble battling against with lucas is sheik. i dont know what it is but those dang needles throw me off. i can never anticipate when they are going to throw them at me so i always shield or dodge alittle to early or too late and get them full in the face. usually when i play someone that uses sheik they learn quick to keep spammin em at me to rack up damage cuz im horrible at dealin with them. any tips?

Side dodging won't dodge charged needles. Rolling backwards is ineffective for avoiding needles. Rolling forwards will put you in shiek's range. I recommend shad into an aerial approach.

Mindgame them IRL. Throw your shoe at them, then punish!

Sheik vs Lucas is def. in lucas's favor. Use Wavebounced PK fires and she'll never be able to get more than a grab, even if you're not trying to space them perfectly. Also, pk fire beats 3 needles, the 4th needle goes through.

Um, fair some, nair some, your tilts are better, and ignore the needles, they will never kill you.

Also, experiment around. Make sure that you don't get caught in tilt spam "combos", they're pretty easy to escape. Also, avoid the vanish (She can KO with it now) and try to punish it with a KO move. I guess.

lol nice. i have developed a war cry. whenever i am losing and it gets really intense, i just scream. it really freaks em out and they get mad at you. try it. but if you are looking to beat sheik without them calling you a "******* cheater" (quoting my friend), then i think the best thing to do is pkt mindgames. be predictable and no one will expect it! and edge hog sheik has a tether recovery now. but avoid vanish.

Sheik's fast enough that PKT is all but useless offensively. You'll get killed really quickly if you try to attack with it.
