How do you punish / edge guard fox or falcos illusion effectively when they go for edge, without grabbing edge?

You gotta just hit them out of it. Nair is most common. You could technically use needles or a well timed fair/bair too, just drop down -> double jump nair is extremely effective.

Rising nair is one option. People seem to favor needles nowadays, whether you do SH needle to hit them out of their illusion OR you do immediate full hop needle in attempt to hit the spacie before they input any kind of recovery move.
