Use the control stick if you're having trouble, flick it up to sh, release and quickly press b.

Its not that hard to learn and it is not necessary for a battle you use it to inflict lesser damage if you opponen is trying to recover. The lasers don't stun or interrupt your enemy from an attack. The golden word is practising .

I seriously don't get why people don't get HOW to shdl. The trick is just to move your fingers realllly fast as DD said. I wouldn't advise using this during a match though, it really isn't very helpful aside from just showing off between stocks. It does have it's uses but I wouldn't spend too much time on this.

Take your hand and short hop with "Y" then slide your finger down twoards the "B" button and press it twice. If you did it fast enough you'll do a shdl
