Sorry for the lack of a Dojo post yesterday, early starts at work + late finishes at work make me one tired Mic. Which is a shame concidering yesterdays update contains a decent amount of information, and todays isn’t bad either, for Yesterdays was about the “names” of players and today was Wario’s Special moves.
<img src="http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/images/wario/wario_070620c.jpg" alt="If someone actually knows about and reads these little things, be sure to mention it in the notes. I'd like to know if anyone notices them." />

Now this update was about names, but it actually reviels what the menu and even the character select screen could very well look like, but more on that in a little.
In Melee, if you wanted you could choose a “profile” name which would save all manners of stats, from damage done, recieved, to number of coins won in coin mode (which I’m willing to bet to be aLOT less than damage done), as well as wins and losses vs other players.
<img src="http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/gamemode/various/images/various02/various02_070628a-l.jpg" alt="Letters. Whoo. Exciting pic, right?" />
This is back in Brawl, and rather than deal with “ye ol keyboard” style of selecting the letters (where it would show a keyboard on screen and you move the selector from letter to letter, you enter your name like you would send an SMS. I’m sure you’re really interested in that, but it’s a nifty little addition which I’m sure some will love (and others not so love. Oh well)
<img src="http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/gamemode/various/images/various02/various02_070628b-l.jpg" alt="The fools spelt my name with a K on the end " />
Other than saving stats this time, it’ll also save your chosen control style, which is a great idea, since when smashing with more than 4 friends, having to keep going back to the setup menu every time players switch. Also Sakurai’s trying to get the ability to save your “profile” on a Wiimore so you can take it with you and not have to worry about starting from scratch again. I say pushing because Sakurai himself isn’t sure if it’ll make it into the final product.
“We’re also considering allowing you to save your name to the memory in your Wii Remote so you can bring your settings with you to your friend’s house…But if we can’t make that happen, I apologize. ”
Things of note that are interesting and really need more discussion on which I’ll be doing on a later update (KirbyKid can’t make ALL the cool non-news updates :D )
* Names shown are only 4 letters long, suggesting they’re once again only….well 4 letters long.
* Menu Screens are a nice stylish white, most likely to match the stylish white Wii system menus.
* The character selected is once again just a 2d picture of them, rather than a 3d model like in Smash Bros 64.
* There <em>are</em> infact Johns
* The blurred out “thing” above Samus may or may not be part of the character selection screen.
<strong>Now, to Wario! </strong>
Now, remember how Wario entered the first Smash bros Brawl Trailer? On his motorbike, right? Partly. He actually arrived on his Forward B attack. Which is his motorbike.
Aw shaddap.
<img src="http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/images/wario/wario_070629a-l.jpg" alt="Brrrrooooooom!" />
It seems to be a lot like Jigglypuff and Yoshi’s Forward B from Smash Bros Melee, you zoom in one direction ramming those in your way, with the ability to turn around so you don’t just zoom over the edge. Except this time, it’s on a motorbike, so you can look cool, too!
<img src="http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/images/wario/wario_070629b-l.jpg" alt="Screeeee!" />
However, UNLIKE Yoshi and Jigglypuff, you can actually fall off the motorbike. How? Most likely, like Yoshi you can cancel the attack, or just get knocked off by an attack, but the fact is the motorbike stays on screen, and <em>it may not necessarily stay Wario’s for long.</em> Only 1 bike will be on the screen at a time, which leads to 2 questions. What does Wario do when he does Forward B when not on his bike, and what happens if there’s 2 wario’s and 1’s on theirs already?
<img src="http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/images/wario/wario_070629c-l.jpg" alt="Dude, where's my Forward-B?" />
And now to a move that truely stinks. (And so did that pun).
The Wario Waft is Wario’s Down B, and while it isn’t isn’t as devastating as previously expected (see: Neuclear bombs, Brawl Trailer 1) it’s still one heck of a move. Rather than ramble on more, I’ll just post what Sakurai has to say. Plus, this stops me from posting more puns. “This particular special move builds up power the longer you go without using it.”
<img src="http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/images/wario/wario_070629d-l.jpg" alt="That's concidered "cute" in Japan?" />
<strong>If you haven’t held it in, it’ll be a cute little poot. But when you hold it in as much as you can…?!</strong>
<img src="http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/images/wario/wario_070629e-l.jpg" alt="Seriously, "a cute little poot"? Wtf" />
