SH knees on Battlefield

Hey everyone, I was screwing around a bit on Battlefield this weekend trying to figure out why I can sometimes shorthop knee people on the lower platforms on BF but fail miserably other times. I prefer doing this after an up throw if I'm in good position because it makes it easier to punish certain techs on reaction than trying to do so with a quick double jump. After some screwing around, I found out it's quite easy to hit Sheik, Fox, and Marth with a knee, but near impossible to get Falco or Falcon. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what situation allows me to hit Falco(n) about 1/1000 times with a SH knee on the platform.

Don't the pro's usually do a full jump dair or nair? How come they don't use this technique that often?

You must start the knee immediately after sh even if you think you are not enough high to connect it.

Works when your opponent is lying down.

I don't really know why. I always do it on Yoshi's unless I'm guessing that they will tech away (the curve at the bottom of the stage makes it hard to get it right there). I don't even know if it's possible to react with a full hop stomp, unless they do that dumb tech roll where they just keep rolling at the edge of the platform.

works well on yoshi's and pokemon, not reliable on battlefield imo. definitely impossible on dreamland.

correct me if im wrong

isn't pokemon and battlefield the same height

eitherway you can short hop knee on battlefield i think its guaranteed if they FLOP AROUND and very probable if they tech in place too

maybe u can compare hit/hurtboxes but it definitely feels like you can knee as they are teching and entering the non-invincible part of the tech for most chars

you can definitely also short hop knee a shiek who up-b's onto the plat, very useful if you grab edge and force them onto plat and don't want to up-air

hmmm....i didn't know that, the more u know eh. i don't think i see falcon players do that often on battlefield , but i've never kept an eye out for it on that stage. mainly just did short hop upairs, full hop nairs/stomps or some sort of double jump mixup.

I thought pokemon and yoshi's were the same height but I dunno the technical details.

I know you can sh stomp from below the platform and still hit people on the platforms on yoshi's and pokemon. I don't know if you can do that on battlefield.

Pokemon and Yoshi's is about the same height, Battlefield is a little higher. Can't short hop missile onto a BF platform.
Sheik also can't shorthop onto the BF plats.

I have stopped going for SH knee on the BF plats because I never get it. I can do the fall-through knee on BF plats though, that is super useful.
