SH into phantasm

Short hop into immediate phantasm, I just wonder what benefits it has over a ground phantasm. Thanks for the help.

There are numerous threads for this. It has less leg upon completion if done properly, ie, phantasm INSTANTLY after the short hop.

if timed properly, the zero lag landing can usually lead into a bair at lower percentages

As the other people said it has less lag on landing and it also spikes the opponent down if they were about to jump.
