good stuff. my opinion wud to be use f-tilt more opposed to short-hop f-air. a blocked f-air gets u grabbed and punished, there is no harm in a blocked f-tilt. also maybe its just me but i like to combo u-air into ^B. d-smash is ur friend abuse it more. i like the way u use the drill, i personally dont like it but watchin the way u use it makes it seem like a decent move. try usin mach tornado more. its a hard move for the opponent to punish if used correctly and most times opponents dont end up blockin the whole move.

like i sed before ur reverse ^B were sweet. i need to do that more myself

hot vids!

Can i use these in the offical video thread?
Sure.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys. I agree about the tornado. It's a great move, I've been trying to incorporate good ways to use it. I'll think about ftilts too. I don't like spamming downsmash though. I want to use that sparingly so I can get kills with it when I need em.

Easiest way to rack up damage is Dash Attack to Tornado.

But we've found that some characters can DI up out of the tornado.

It's still effective.

I would say calm down and not jamp your controler

I'd say play safer and stop throwing yourself at a shielding opponent. You get shield grabbed WAYYY too much. Pretty good **** though, but you definitely need to use up B more, especially when edge guarding. It's amazing for when they're above you.

Smash has always been a loud game on the controller as long as I've been around it. It's the gamecube controllers design. The R and L buttons naturally make loud popping noises and the control stick is pretty loud too. When people get grabbed they mash buttons a lot to get out or mash buttons to try to get out of a tumble, plus a lot of us still try to l cancel everything still. I'm sorry if the noise was too distracting but the button pressing is not random or put there to be obnoxious, I assure you.

I've been working on my meta a little more recently. I hope to have more vids up soon. Thanks for the suggestions for improvement people. I've been working on my grab game some but also trying to get smarter about gliding and more accurate with it. Gliding is so fun! Also I've incorporated running up smashes. But I still don't like whoring the tornado, the up B, or the down smash (though sometimes it's appropriate), I've had pretty good success without over using those moves. I try to mix it up as much as I can. Also I'm working on my edgeguarding as well even though it's **** hard in brawl.

Meta is good at using just about all of his moves, but there's nothing wrong with spamming his best ones. Falco, Wolf, Samus, etc are going to spam their projectiles, so why can't you spam your tornado or dsmash?

It comes down to personal play style, though, so if you're doing find without them, then great. I'm just saying you don't have to hold back on them just to "mix it up".

I particularly liked the stage-spikes using Shuttle Loop. Aren't those just incredibly satisfying?

Good games. Enjoyed the vids.

I haven't watched the vid yet, but I can give you a couple quick pointers on Ike. Learn to bait him and learn what his fast and slow attacks are. The majority of his attacks are easy to punish, so play evasively rather than aggressively and you'll come out on top.

Also, his recovery his wickedly easy to gimp. Don't be afraid to follow him off immediately. Once he's off, don't let him breathe.

Edit: I watched the video. You did an excellent job of gimping him. Other than that, you seemed to be losing the majority of the time. During the second stock, I noticed you DIed toward him alot while getting juggled and seemed you may have been trying to outprioritize him. His uair stays out for a really long time, but you should be able to air dodge through him since the hitbox on it is quite small vertically. Otherwise, DI away and come at him horizontally from off stage. Ike's can't edgeguard MK, but he juggles him quite well.

Also, avoid his bair. It's wicked fast and has a lot more range than anything you have. Use the Tornado more, it's fast and will probably hit him before he can react most of the time unless he starts countering you. For the most part, be more evasive and less aggressive until you have him near or off the edge.
