My thoughts exactly, I"m psyched about it being online, and could care a less that it may lag, but it probably wont be a problem anyways since FC's is most likely the thing I'll be using.

Overall, Brawl's online is going to be good, but this stuff doesn't surprise me. Since when have smash fans NOT complained. We didn't have any info, site is spoiling everything, I hate XXX update, online isn't XBox Live standards. Someone even complain the music is too "Final Fantasy" (it's in someone's sig). Sakurai give and Smash fans *****.

Those who complain about the update must be really sad that the game isn't made the way they want it to be. Wow Sakurai should just drop the whole game restart from fresh and make the game the way the fan want it. Oh wait isn't that what he was doing from the start. I think what everyone is complaining about is Nintendo's lack of interest, support, and development for their Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection in comparison to Xbox Live and Playstation Network. Nintendo is seriously doing the least for the online community in comparison to the other big names of the industry. All of this shows in the development of Smash Brawls online features, as Sakurai even states himself that it will be limited. Sakurai actually says that "The more distant you are, the worse your connection becomes, and the slower it feels. I apologize, but I hope you understand." He knows that there is nothing he can do about it, because it is entirely on Nintendo's shoulders.


So in my case, I am more angered with Smash Brawl's limitations because of Nintendo's lack of online support, than I am towards Sakurai and the Brawl Development team. I am actually incredibly happy and grateful that Sakurai has tried to do everything he could to get Brawl Online.

Yet with Nintendo's semi-decent Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection... only the time of release will we know if his efforts were worthwhile though.

I'm not as worked up as you may think. I'm just making a straight forward point about why so many people think that Sakurai should just listen to every little problem they have about the game. If you want to complain fine that just great and dande. Good for you. You hate something about the game. The whole world should know it.

Why don't you guys do what Dylan and someone else did. Make one entire thread about how much you hate wifi or the other updates instead of going around and pester everyone else about your complaints.

All I'm saying is it's annoying to everyone else who actually enjoy these kind of updates and are grateful for them.

That is also a definition of a problem with Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection. We aren't at the beginning of the Internet Era you know, Global Internet Gaming isn't necessarily something new. For example, We have Japanese and American players playing Final Fantasy XI globally over Xbox360, PS2, and PC all at once using Broadband connections and Xbox Live service. You can even see problems when playing with Japanese Players Mario Kart with the Nintendo DS. Theres many other examples I could look up, but the results stays the same. Nintendo just doesn't show enough support for online functionality, that Smash Bros becomes penalized for it with all these limitations.

I agree with chibi, i mean, Nintendo never seems to care about the players, they know they games will sell, so they are satisfied making things good, but they gond go for that extra to make things great

And what bothers me most is that this is probably the most expected title not just for nintendo, but for any console, is highly anticipated, it will be a system seller, for gods sake, is not any company and is not any game, is nintendo!! and is smash brawl!!! If u come to think about it, if they dont make their best with this game.... when are they going to??

Man, I don't usually agree with these types of topics, but I have to agree with this one.

So many people where saying that if online didn't make it that they wouldn't buy the game. However, it seems like this game being confirmed online is not enough for people. Now they have to find a way to complain about it.

Then again, people around here always find a reason to complain don't they? Whether or not it's the best online in the world or not, you guys can at least be happy that it's online at all.
