Games + Fees:
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Project M
£3 for singles
£2 per player for Doubles
Venue fee - £4 (£5 if you pay on the day)

Schedule - Venue will be open from 10:00, with on the day signups from 10:30-11:30. Even if you pre-registered and pre-paid you must be at the venue for 11:30 or can face disqualification from your tournament games

Accomodation - Some housing can be provided by the Southampton players but this is limited. Do not book travel until your housing is confirmed by one of the TOs (R23 or X1). If you want housing your best bet is to ask on the facebook event page

Transport - Ideally you want to get a coach to Southampton Coach Station, or a train to Southampton Central. The venue is a short (10 minute) walk from here.
Check www.nationalexpress.com for coaches and www.nationalrail.co.uk for trains

[collapse=Rules]General Rules
No items
4 Stocks, 8 Minutes
Wobbling is legal unless used to stall. Wobbling over 250% is typically considered stalling
Bring your own controller
No pausing. If you break this rule your opponent can make you forfeit your current stock, or in extenuating circumstances after discussion with TO, the whole game.
Team attack on for doubles.
In the case of timeouts, winner is decided by current stock, followed by current %
Certain stages legal only: See stagelist below
Giga Bowser is banned (PM)
If you are called 3 times (over the course of 20 mins) for a tournament game and you don't appear to play, you forfeit a game, and forfeit subsequent games every 8 minutes from that point. If you're worried about missing games ask me I'll let you know if you're likely to be called for a game soon.
All disputes should be settled with the tournament organisers (Tristan or Alex)

How to select stage/characters for tournament sets
First game:
1.) Both players blind pick character (say it the same time, or both tell a third party to avoid counterpicking)
2.) Stage striking occurs, player A strikes one stage, player B strikes 2, player A then picks from the remaining two stages. Play RPS to decide who strikes first.

Subsequent games:
1.) Winner bans 1 stage (Bo3 Only)
2.) Loser picks a stage (not the stage he won on most recently)
3.) Winner picks character
4.) Loser picks character

This organisation of this tournament is largely happening on the facebook event page so if you have any questions that is probably the best place to ask. If you're unable to see the event page try adding Tristan Bunyan (myself) on facebook.
