Smash Journeyman
We will be hosting a variety of weekly tournaments across Chicago this summer with the following weeklies:
Mondays at D Hangout Bar & Grill in Elgin at 6:30 pm for Smash 4 1v1's, 2v2's, Amateur Bracket & Melee
Tuesdays at Top Cut Comics at 7 pm for Smash 4 and Melee
Thursdays at Poplar Creek in Hoffman Estates at 7 pm for Sm4sh 1v1's, 2v2's, Amateur Bracket & Melee
Saturdays at The Chicago Clubhouse in Glenview at 2 pm for Melee/PM
Sundays at Celtic Crown in Chicago at 1 pm for Smash 4 1v1's, 2v2's, Amateur Bracket, Melee, and PM
We will be hosting a variety of weekly tournaments across Chicago this Fall with information on the weeklies above and on https://www.facebook.com/events/446467918857413/. Venue is $5 and entry is $5 per game. You will get a $2 discount for bringing a setup and $2 for an hd monitor. The amateur bracket is available for Smash 4 players that are not ranked in the top 25 in Chicago, and for players that do not get in the top 8 for that weekly. Cost of entry is $2 for the amateur bracket.
10% of all payouts will go towards the Finale event for Melee & Smash 4 granted that we have at least 12 players attending any event. To qualify for the Finale, you must earn enough points from attending or placing in the top 8. The point system is as follows:
To qualify for the final event which will be sometime in August, you must accumulate 50 points throughout the summer. You will receive 2 points for attending any event, and points for making the top 8. For the points to count and to have 10% taken out from the pot, we need at least 12 players to participate in each event. If less than 12 players participate, everyone will be awarded 2 points for attending and 1st place will get 4 points while second place gets 2 points and 3rd gets 1 additional point.
If 12 or more participate:
1st place gets 12 points
2nd place gets 9 points
3rd place gets 7 points
4th place gets 5 points
5th place each get 3 points
7th place each get 2 point
Each top 8 player also gets 2 additional points for participating.
The Amateur Bracket will also get you additional points for participating in that.
1st place gets 6 points
2nd place gets 4 points
3rd place gets 2 points
Each top 3 players and all participants in the Amateur Bracket also get 1 additional point.
We will occasionally change up certain events to include Iron Man challenges, doubles, 3v3 VIP, and other events. If you are going to be late for any event, post on the event page or message us to get added to the bracket.
