:urg: Ya know...I like the character lineup for SSBM; some of the characters that I encountered for the first time were unbelievable, like all of a sudden I was fighting Ganondorf, or wha the, Doctor Mario!!!!

However, as cool as these character surprises were, there moves were a little disapointing :(

Just about every new character were CLONES of already existing characters with minor differences.

Characters like Ganondorf or Roy, or Falco shouldv'e got there own moves; it's very much possilbe because remember in the first SSMB Luigi was a clone of Mario, but in the Melee, he had his own moves; some were the same but he was like a new character ^_^

For SSMBBrawl do you think the clones characters should return or should Nintendo bring back those secret characters with brand new moves?

I say dump the clones.Make some of them alternate costumes,or something.Maybe keep some of the clones such as Marth, but dump the unneccssary ones.

I think Sakurai said that the previous clones in Melee will get their own original movesets in Brawl. And umm, I think that Falco was perfectly fine. His moveset was original enough as it was, and had a lot of differences than Fox's.

Ganandorf should be given a new moveset completely, even though he wasn't an exact clone of C. Falcon, he was disappointing in Melee. If he gets a new moveset (and actually uses his gigantic sword), then I'll still want him in the game.

Oh and, Luigi wasn't a completely new character.
He and Mario were still the same as in N64, the only thing that's changed was the >B and all of the ariel moves.

Falco is cool, but all his moves are exactly like Fox except some of em are bit more powerful.
He jumps higher and has more air mobility.

So true, it felt like the secret characters they made in Melee was kinda rushed.
but hopefully; since Nintendo decided not to release Brawl as a launch title; they should have more time; they just need to brainstorm and test more ^_^

I think they should give the more deserving characters like Ganondorf and Falco new movesets. As for the others, I don't really care, but Pichu and Doc really shouldn't have been put in altogether IMO.

Hmm..I agree with Falco and Ganondorf, but Dr. Mario was okay ^_^, since I am a MARIO player...however, he as well shoulda had some a new moveset too

Personally, i would have all clones leave (<--asking for trouble) yet i doubt Sakurai would do that. 2 or 3 should get new movesets, the rest...the boot (Roy, Pichu, Dr. Mario, Ganondorf, etc).

If we had more room, maybe these characters could stay, but with so much new character possibilities- id rather they go.

^Ganondorf is really the only clone that's definitely staying, though is almost certainly going to get a new moveset. Falco may return and Y.Link may too (though may get replaced by WW Link), but I don't think the rest of them are likely to (Pichu and DR Mario are as good as gone, and Roy's chances aren't great).

Any returning clones will most likely get the Luigi treatment, except Ganondorf for the reason I stated above.
