See Europe's Best at PPT Summer! (If All Goes Well)

Important Note: Because of the shootings in Germany, the first day of PPT Summer has been cancelled. It is currently unknown if the other days will also be cancelled as well. This article will be updated as soon as new information is received. If you are a participant currently in Munich, please stay safe and remember that your well-being comes first before anything else.

Update: The tournament is proceeding as scheduled. Come watch it now!

From July 23rd to July 24th CEST, the tournament series Pandali's Pandemonium Tournament will be hosting a Super Smash Bros. Wii U tournament in Munich, Germany. Talent from all over Europe, along with a special international guest, will be attending this 188-man competition. Here’s everything you need to know about the tournament as well as who to look out for!

Notable Players

Dennis “iStudying” Kwarteng :4greninja: A phenomenal player from the Netherlands whose amazing play with the Slippery Shinobi puts him only behind Mr. R on the PR there. Many people know him for his excellent performance at Beast VI, where he defeated both ESAM and MVD. However, his list of accomplishments is far greater than that. Will first place at PPT Summer be added to that list?

Enis “Izaw” AlMaatooq :4link: Famous for his “Art of” series on YouTube, Izaw is also known to rep the Hero from Hyrule in tournament play. Arguably the best Link player in all of Europe, possibly even the world, Izaw will definitely put on an excellent display of swordsmanship at PPT Summer!

vyQ :4mario:, Luigi_player :4luigi:, and cfive :4fox: of the Beefy Smash Doods will all be attending as well! These respected labbers will definitely show us how to put all of that knowledge to good use in bracket!

Ixis :4sonic: This standout Sonic main hails from the UK. Ixis is, without a doubt, the best Blue Blur main in Europe, and he is sure to impress! One of his most notable recent wins is at Neokan Party #2. Could the events of this tournament unfold in a similar way?

Yuta “Abadango” Kawamura :4mewtwo: The Ambassador from Japan will also be in attendance at PPT Summer! Abadango is widely recognized as one of the current best Smash 4 players out there, so him participating in this tournament will show us how Europe stacks up with the rest of the world.

Other notable players include Yikarur :4yoshi: :4miibrawl:, Sodrek :4fox: :4mario:, Light :4sheik: :4mario:, and quiK :4zss:! (The full list of attendees is available on the tournament website!)

Schedule, Stream, and More

Geeky Goon Squad will handle the streaming. And here’s the schedule for the event:

Times are listed in CEST, which is 6 hours ahead of EST. Subtract 6 from the listed times to get the corresponding time in EST.

Please note that because of the shootings in Germany, the first day of PPT Summer has been cancelled. If the other days are not cancelled as well, this means that the event will likely only feature the Singles event rather than Singles, Doubles, and a Germany vs The World Crew Battle. The Singles event will begin with Round Robin pools before switching to a Double Elimination Top 64 bracket. Here are links to Pools, the Singles Bracket. In case Doubles is played, here's the Doubles Bracket as well.
