SDI in Smash Ultimate

Hey everyone. I have wondered about this for a few months but I haven’t seen anyone talk about it. Has SDI changed a lot in Ultimate? I remember in Smash 4 when a character had you caught in a rapid jab or any other multi-hit move, you could easily SDI out of the move to escape. However, this is not the case for Ultimate. Most of the time, I just end up getting hit by the finisher and end up closer to the blast zone and die earlier than if I had just done nothing. Am I just bad at SDI or did it get nerfed a lot?

SDI is present in Ultimate but it takes a lot longer to get out of a multi-hit move, and some moves in patches have been buffed to make it harder to SDI out. DI is the same, but it’s only SDI that has been nerfed.
