SD card troubles

i have a Lexar 8gig SD card, but my wii doesn't recognize it, and when i try to open it on my computer, the window just freezes.

i don't know much about it besides that is says "SD HC" maybe that could have something to do with it?

Make sure your computer supports SDHC before trying to use it, and update your wii. A recent update lets it read that kind of card.

i was messing around with it a bit, and on my wii it lets me copy and move SOME files, but not others. most notably my smash bros save data - it won't let me copy it over to the card.

also brawl doesn't recognize it at all, i can't save any snapshots, replay, or custom stages to the card ):

and still no luck on my pc, even though i tried to do a windows update thing that was supposedly for allowing xp to read sdhc cards.
