Back when I was a beginner, I used to love to beat up the sand bag in Home Run Contest. However the whole image of the "sand bag" has changed. My perception skewed.
The first time i heard sandbagging was when my friend kinglit said "i just sandbag". My young mind back then was confused as i remembered my good old friend the sandbag in HRC. Little did i know the only reason for my wins was because of him sandbagging.
Urban dictionary has a formal definition of sandbagging: When a player in any game chooses (on purpose) to not play their best. Normally this is because they are too superior, they want to hustle you, or they are too lazy to play their best with nothing on the line.
This whole concept went right over my head. Why would someone lose on purpose? It just didn't seem very intelligent. I guess i never caught onto the whole sandbagging thing. I always play SMASH to my full ability with all my heart and soul!!!
