Also, you should specify which game, though i just realized it's obviously brawl since you mentioned online. Oops. ^_^

And if you're looking to practice for tournaments, you should try to practice with someone in person. Online even with little lag is not the best way to practice.

If you're up for some Melee or 64, I'm might be down to play.

I play melee mostly, but i just got a wii and was wanting to try out playing online with somone thats good to get as good with it as i am with melee.

MrTracy does not even know. If you're Gonzalo's friend, I'm pretty sure Richard and his friends + me (remember our crew battle last year) are still down to play Melee. We do so off campus. I'm looking for people on campus to play against. Brawl or Melee.

Gonzalo beat me pretty badly at Winter Gamefest '08. I've only played a bit of Melee against decent players since then; I've been mostly just creating all sorts of amusing single-player and compilation videos since then.

If you guys meet up, want to arrange it in a thread rather than by PMs so that lurkers like me have more opportunities to meet up and play people? PMs are generally a hassle on this site, especially since people never respond in a timely fashion.

I'll play Melee or Brawl, although I really prefer Melee.

this weekend i think i'm free sunday if anyone is down to smash (melee, i think we all agree though someone should bring brawl too). i don't think i can do it at my place because of my roommates, but i'll ask just the same, i live in mira mesa if it works out, you guys have transportation? and this is still tentative, so if anyone has a place we should probably do it there.

Scripps ranch apartments on the corner of mira mesa and scripps ranch right by the 15 onramp. post up your wii codes sos i can add on wii, im rarely ever online in brawl the matchmaking system and brawlfinder/friend system on brawl is terribad. Actually thinking of making an mirc or yahoo chat (bc im lazy to dl mirc again) to make friend finding easier for people in the same area.

even if it's just for sunday if you make a new thread it's worth it. i think i'll be down to play till the afternoon, not sure but if there are this many of us excited for melee and open on sunday i think it's an opportunity the fledgling melee community can't afford to miss.

In all fairness i didnt setup anything yet, i have a small daughter so i cant host i can setup a chat on aim or some java based private chat so we can set something up i was thinking more along the lines of next weekend. That would give us all some time to set something more solid and find out where we'd go. ill post another comment with the chat i setup and times ill be available in it.

Got the server now i just purchased a ventrilo server ( vent = voice and chat client) its best because i can stay on all day and voice and chat are enabled. ill put on the message of the day for times ill be on.... if you dont have ventrilo go to www.ventrilo.com and click on Windows i386 - 32bit (Version 3.0.1). and download it there. once the download is complete start the client and enter your user name by clicking on the "->" button next to user name and server name by clicking on the "->" button next to server name and enter the following information: cobalt.typefrag.com (under hostname or ip) and 53248 under ( port number). then click connect i should always be on.
