I have been having trouble with this matchup and I was wondering any suggestions on how to play against King Dedede?

You can use zair and missiles to lock him down on the ground, but be careful of his ftilt--it has surprising range. If you can bait a jump, he's slow enough in the air that you can probably punish with fair (either mode) or nair. Don't fish for KO moves; if he presents the opening, take it, but otherwise you can just keep him out for 8 minutes if you have to.

Be wary that he'll try to chase you off-stage with fairs/bairs, so adjust your recovery height and bomb jump stall accordingly.

He's Dedede, so if you're offstage, he's coming after you. Samus has amazing horizontal recovery, but it's slow enough that D3 can come out and bop you with a fair if you aren't careful. Just play campy with missles and it's very hard for him to come near you; he's a big target with a lack of approach moves. Fire beam fair racks damage nicely and nair is faster than most of his aerials. Just try to play outside of his grab range and force him to approach.
