Samus' visor color

Her visor is made up of a few different things. These two textures (in blue):
and the Color Struct (explained here) associated with the _0 texture on top, which controls its colors.
The bottom texture is for the main center area of the visor. And the top texture goes around the outside edges of that (still within the visor area. not on the helmet); it sits on top of the other texture and acts kind of like a filter or mask. Basically the dark area is transparent in-game, and the white area takes on whatever color is defined by the color structure's ambience and diffusion values.
